Located in the Poblenou district, Razzmatazz occupies two former mid-20th-century industrial buildings: an engine manufacturing plant and a large textile-processing warehouse that, in the late eighties, were transformed into one of the city’s cultural epicentres.

Inside, the venue is known for its vast dimensions and its distinctive, almost labyrinthine interior structure, with numerous stairways, passageways and spaces connecting its five independent stages.

Outside, the iconic façade of its main entrance on Carrer dels Almogàvers stands as a symbol of the duality between modernity and tradition that defines Poblenou. An image that has already become part of Barcelona’s landscape and collective imagination.

Razzmatazz celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2025. Twenty-five years of hosting all kinds of events, fashion shows, presentations, galas, and film or advertising shoots, in a venue defined by its five spaces, which transforms according to the needs of each moment.

Always focused on new musical trends and programming both bands and DJs, its stages have hosted some of the greatest artists in pop, rock and electronic music.

International artists of the calibre of Kraftwerk, Coldplay, Kanye West, Post Malone, Morrissey, Orbital, Pulp, Grimes, Aphex Twin, David Byrne, Massive Attack, Blur, Lorde, Paul Kalkbrenner, Björk, The Smashing Pumpkins, Suede, James Blake, Happy Mondays, M.I.A., Justice, Primal Scream and The Stone Roses, among many others.

And numerous national artists such as Morad, Bad Gyal, Carolina Durante, C. Tangana, Samantha Hudson, Love of Lesbian, Dorian, Los Planetas, Estopa and Fangoria.

In addition, many of them performed here when they were still barely known (such as Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand or Florence and the Machine), making their Spanish debut on the stages of Razzmatazz long before becoming global stars.

One of the main principles and objectives of Razzmatazz is diversity. Musical diversity for our audience, understood through inclusion, respect, dancing, and enjoyment.

Razzmatazz has always worked in this direction, with a professional team fully committed to creating a diverse and inclusive space. It has been doing so since its opening more than twenty-five years ago. This commitment is reflected not only in the variety of styles in its musical programming, but also in the diversity of artists in terms of gender and origin, as well as in its support for inclusion policies. A clear example of this is its adherence to different active protocols against harassment and discrimination, such as 'No callem' from the Ajuntament de Barcelona, and 'No en passem ni una' from the Generalitat de Catalunya.

For this reason, in 2023 we implemented, together with the Observatori Contra l’Homofòbia —a collective with which Razzmatazz has collaborated since 2019— the role of the Equality Mediator, a person who acts as a mediator and information point in the activation of the aforementioned protocols. This is a pioneering initiative at state level, whose implementation has been very positive for the entire venue team and very well received by the community that attends weekly to enjoy our cultural offer.

In addition, in 2025 we implemented Respect, a permanent campaign in our clubs aimed at raising awareness among users about issues such as respect for privacy and personal space, responsible consumption, and the rejection of any form of violence or aggression inside the venue. Among other measures, illuminated points have been installed in different areas of the venue to assist and support users. We have also worked with the awareness team Safe Amorx to provide information and help in any related matter.
