Joseph Saddler, más conocido como Grandmaster Flash, es una leyenda viva y pionero del hip hop que influyó a varias generaciones inventando las reglas del juego, mezclando beats en el New York de mediados  los años setenta y los primeros años ochenta. A él se le deben tres avances técnicos revolucionarios en el mundo del dj: el backspin, el punch phrasing y el scratching. Técnicas que todavía hoy, casi 40 años después, siguen siendo la base de este lenguaje.  Como productor también es considerado un pionero, gracias a su temprano proyecto Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, con Kid Creole y el Mc Melle Mel, entre otros  componentes.  En 1980 ficharon por el mítico sello Sugarhill Gang, donde publicarían en 1982 el legendario The Message, considerado el primer rap con mensaje social. Y ese mismo año Grandmaster Flash haría su aparición estelar en la película de culto Wild Style, sobre el estilo de vida de los breakers y las fiestas hip hop, donde el maestro aparece pinchando en varias escenas de batallas de baile entre breakers. En 2006 recibió un premio por la canción I am hip hop icon en los BET Hip Hop Awards, en 2007 entró en el Rock and Roll Hall of Fame y en 2009 recibió el Premio a toda una vida en los Urban Music Awards. El pasado mes de junio de 2019 recibió el Polar Music Prize, el "nobel de la música", convirtiéndose en el primer DJ en recibir este galardón.

DJ2D2 is a clear example of how to stand out on the national and international scene thanks to his deep knowledge of urban trends, an always-exquisite taste and an unerring technical and professional application in the DJ booth. We can say he’s an “all genres” type of DJ. His CV is impressive, with sets at the most prestigious festivals and clubs in Spain, including several Sónar appearances. It is difficult to find a dj as prestigious and popular, widely respected by the press and public alike, always being voted as one of the best DJs in the country, without a record production to his name.

 Since 2010 he’s pioneering in the art of playing video sets with the classical DJ tools: two turntables and one mixer. He mixes video clips of different genres making a visual and audio collage.

 In addition to his numerous sets in clubs and festivals around, David Pérez (DJ2D2’s real name) has an extensive experience selecting the soundtrack in all kinds of events.
